I’ve decided to add a new category specifically for unique cars that are “out of the ordinary”. The VG30DET S14 was the first for its V6 swap.
This one counts as number 2.
Trial built a 2.2l 3SGTE powered JZA80 Supra similar to the Top Secret GT300 Supra. The obvious choice for a such a power-plant is its reduced weight and possibility of improving weight distribution, despite the smaller displacement compared to a 2JZGTE, the engine still develops 530ps. With a 1:00.804 lap time round Tsukuba on Falken Azenis Sport it’s not slow either.
This car was later covered with a Falken livery.
